Congratulations David Warsofsky!

Freshman defenseman David Warsofsky got his first collegiate goal last night against Lowell in the Terriers' 5-3 victory. David was the first goal scorer of the game, and got what I'm sure he had been waiting for for quite a while. In the post-game press conference, Eric Gryba mentioned how surprised he was that it took Warsofsky so long to get goal number one. Anyone else that has consistently watched BU hockey this season would agree.

David leads the team in plus/minus rating, which certainly isn't a fool proof stat, but what lovers of the game (and not the numbers) can enjoy is the smoothness of his play on the ice. He's one of the players that seems to be involved in every big play, whether it's on offense or defense. He's got 14 assists so far this year, so the statheads have that to talk about too.

Like most of the defensemen on the Terriers, David is a great two way player, which is one of the reasons that he has been so successful at previous stops in his career. He was on the U-18 team for the US before his time at BU, where he led all defensemen in scoring.

His impact on the team is starting to grow, and I'm sure his skill set will as well the more he plays under Coach Parker.
